Glimmerglass by Jenna Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Faerie books can be tricky to pull off... but I felt Jenna Black did a great job. This is one of the few faerie books I actually really enjoyed! And trust me, I've read my share of faerie books. The story accepts Fae as real and simply incorporates them into our modern-day life, complete with tourists in Avalon! Having them part of the "human" world just makes the story more real to me, and I appreciated that. I also like Dana's character, even though she can be frustrating at times - I truly believe her as a 16-year-old. Some other YA heroines come across as much older than a girl that age would truly behave - and it usually works, but I appreciate what the author has done with her character.
